About Ducon

Ducon was founded in 1977 as a general contractor serving commercial, industrial and institutional clients across the Bay of Quinte region. When those clients began asking for help with their own homes, we added a Residential Division in 2009. Today, the second and third generations of the Wikkerink family lead the company. Over 50 years, the Ducon standard for quality craftsmanship hasn't changed.
Every Ducon project is a partnership. We work directly with you, or alongside your architect and engineers, and give your project our full attention from the first site visit to the final detail. Whether we're creating or adapting a home to suit the way you live, or delivering a facility shaped around your operations, our approach is the same. Trust, communication, and transparency come first in everything we do.
Team strength
Our strength comes from the people on our team. Many have been with Ducon for years — some for decades — because the culture is healthy, the work is real, and leadership takes care of its people. That continuity reflects a culture that values craft, respects the trade, and maintains standards that attract and keep the right people.
One of our key distinctions is our in-house millwork capability. Where many contractors outsource finish work, we build to the same high standards as everything else we do. Our cabinet makers and finish carpenters bring a level of skill and attention you feel when you open a drawer, run your hand along a built-in, or stand in a kitchen designed and built as one cohesive piece.
